How will the Shaylee Foundation meet the needs of families?
The short-term goals for the Shaylee Foundation
- To provide needed items for Children and Families such as gently used clothing in all sizes books toys furniture bidding diapers and wipes ect.
- To provide information resources from other established kinship guided programs and or supportive Family Services
- To provide limited funds for emergency needs through gift cards and supported monetary donations
- To supply personal hygiene items.
- To strengthen the kinship Care community
The long-term goal for the Shaylee Foundation
- To partner with Community Supported programs (DHS), advocates and leaders from the state of Colorado.
- To become a central hub for kinship care families in the State of Colorado
- To establish a subcommittee focusing on child abuse and neglect and Supportive Services.
- To establish a College scholarship honoring a child that was raised in a kinship care home
- To gain funding for all services and programs through supportive Partnerships, private/public donations, and fundraising.
